If your child loves the cute memory-loss blue fish in Finding Nemo, he may like our Dory Mascot too!
You may have seen our dory fish mascot at the following events:
- opening of an aquarium
- fishmonger promoting his fish
- Facebook live to sell fish… (maybe can sell more fish than Wanglei?)
- birthday parties with under the sea theme (add our DIY decorations
- family events with lots of young kids.
- school plays to tell children about the fragile ocean – stop the use of straws!
We also have a Clown Fish (Nemo) mascot for rental too!
Fun Facts about dory:
- The common name dory is shared by members of several different families of large-eyed, silvery, deep-bodied, laterally compressed, and roughly discoid marine fish. They are not necessarily blue.
- Dory is actually a regal blue tang, a species of Indo-Pacific surgeonfish.
- It is popularly believed that fish have a memory span of only 30 seconds just like Dory in the cartoon. Canadian scientists, however, have demonstrated that this is far from true — in fact, fish can remember context and associations up to 12 days later! So Dory in Finding Nemo really has amnesia.
- Dory is brilliantly voiced by Ellen DeGeneres in the movie.
- In the original story, Dory was going to be a male character but when the director went home to write the script, his wife was watching The Ellen DeGeneres Show and when he heard DeGeneres’ voice he decided to change Dory to a female.
